Germany are the champions of the World -- at least in Soccer.  Prior to Sunday, most Americans thought of Germany as the land of Beer steins, Beer gardens, Bratwurst, and luxury cars but I think it is safe to say that soccer can now be added to the oh-so-stereotypical list.

To prove FIFA is a corrupt and rigged organization, a Twitter account has made it look like it predicted the exact winning scenario of the World Cup, a day before it happened:

Well, Brazil hopes for a World Cup title on home turf bites the dust in grand fashion. You might remember the USA's heartbreaking loss to the Germans 1-0 in the 3rd match of the Group Stage but that was nothing compared to today. Brazil got absolutely demolished on home soil by the Germans with a score of 5-0 before the half. In a soccer crazed nation such as Brazil, this obviously is pretty heartbreaking. Here are some crazy / funny / scary media from what's going down in Brazil right now!

Johnny Manziel is no stranger to partying.  The 1st round pick for the Cleveland Browns has been spotted all over Vegas and various other destinations thoroughly enjoying  the summer. Now, to be fair, if you were 21, signed by a NFL team, would you not want to party? We definitely think there is no problem enjoying life in the offseason within reason. He has been seen hanging out with the likes of Drake, Mayweather, Justin Beiber and even Pauly D.

The USA will face off against Portugal this evening in Manaus, Brazil at the 2014 World Cup.  If the USA is victorius, they will advance to the next round. Portugal is home to arguably the best player in the world - Cristiano Ronaldo - who will be playing in this match. Team USA definitely has its work cut out for them, but fans everywhere believe they can win!  If you need a little push to get hyped up for the game, check out this video, it will make you want to dress in Red, White and Blue from head to toe and start USA chants anywhere you go:

World Cup fever is about to hit a high in Washington DC and around the world. After four long years, Brazil is now center stage for the largest sporting tournament. Even the casual soccer - futbol, football, whatever you want to call it - fan can easily get swept up in the nationalistic frenzy that is the World Cup. Washington DC area bars are far from oblivious to this, and many have come up with some great specials to attract World Cup revelers
with deals happening throughout the month long tournament. We put together a list of some of the best bars in Washington DC, Bethesda and Arlington to catch the games at.

If you are a Redskins or Ravens fan you know John Beck. Beck always had a good attitude and for a little time, Redskins fans thought he might be the answer to the poison that was Rex Grossman. Unfortunately, Beck never materialized as a star QB and now plays for the British Columbia Lions in the CFL. Even though Beck did not leave positive impressions on Fed Ex Field, he may have picked up some dance moves instead. Check out the video below as he teaches the BC Lions How to Dougie!

The 6'11, 250 pound Center, Marcin Gortat, will join the Washington Wizards tonight as they try to keep their playoffs hopes alive in Game 6 against the Indiana Pacers at the Verizon Center. Gortat -- born in Poland & affectionately known as the Polish Hammer -- had a monster Game 5 with 31 points and 16 rebounds. In honor of the Polish big man, here are 5 reasons Gortat is awesome!

Redskins and the rest of Washington DC will welcome Trent Murphy, a outside linebacker from Stanford as our 1st pick of the 2014 draft (even though it took 2 rounds to get to that). However, this guys reaction to the pick is priceless.
